About Zakary

As a dedicated educator with 3 to 4 years of experience teaching in secondary schools and sixth forms, I understand the challenges students face and the importance of building a supportive learning environment. My qualifications in history, religious studies, and citizenship equip me to deliver lessons that are not only informative but also engaging

I take pride in my professional approach, emphasizing clarity, patience, and respect in every session. My goal is to inspire confidence in my students by providing personalized guidance and fostering a sense of achievement. I encourage open communication, ensuring that students feel comfortable asking questions and expressing their thoughts.

With a focus on storytelling in my teaching methodology, I aim to make complex subjects accessible and relatable, empowering students to see the connections between their studies and the world around them. Together, we will navigate the intricacies of history and social studies, building not just knowledge, but also the skills and confidence needed to excel academically. You can trust that your educational journey is in capable hands!

About the lesson

My approach to tutoring is centered around storytelling, transforming historical events, religious concepts, and civic principles into engaging narratives that captivate students' imaginations. This method not only makes the material more relatable but also encourages deeper understanding and retention.

I typically offer lessons ranging from one to two hours, depending on your preference and needs. My experience spans 3 to 4 years of teaching at the secondary and sixth form levels, providing me with the skills to adapt my teaching style to suit A-level history students as well as those studying GCSE religious studies and citizenship.

Each lesson is tailored to foster critical thinking, encouraging students to connect the dots between past and present, and to see the relevance of what they learn in their everyday lives. Whether you're seeking to master complex historical themes or understand the nuances of citizenship, my tutoring sessions aim to inspire and empower you to achieve your academic goals!

Perfect! We've had one lesson so far, and Zak took the time to understand what we needed before we met, adapted his approach during the lesson, gave me useful and thoughtful feedback on my son's abilities, and has been excellent at communicating. Recommend!
