About Liu

I am a Mandarin teacher with 10 years of teaching experience, including 8 years at an international school in Beijing, where I taught all aspects of Mandarin – listening, speaking, reading, and writing – as well as Chinese culture courses covering classics such as The Analects, Tao Te Ching, Journey to the West, and Dream of the Red Chamber. I have also taught Chinese history and geography. I specialize in teaching Chinese characters and culture through stories, making lessons engaging and memorable. I am passionate about travel and have a deep understanding of cultural diversity across China. Currently based in Dublin, I have been teaching Mandarin here for 2 years, and I also help some students prepare for the Chinese language high school exams (Gaokao) in Ireland. My students from different countries often say that my classes helped them fall in love with Chinese culture. I have taught students from Ireland, the USA, the UK, France, Germany, and Canada, and I am skilled in bilingual instruction in Mandarin and English, ensuring lessons are accessible, interactive, and culturally rich.

My standard fee is charged per hour. I provide all necessary teaching materials for my lessons, including worksheets, exercises, and story-based resources, at no additional cost.

In addition, I offer free Q&A support outside of lesson time to help students with homework, exam preparation, or any questions about Mandarin and Chinese culture.
