About Ashley
"Reading sheet music and complex BLUES PROGRESSIONS represent the foundation of my methodology. Most assume that formal training kills the creative spirit, yet my 13 years of experience show the opposite is true.
I hold a Diploma of Music from JMC Academy and have spent 8 years performing across the Australian Latin music scene. My practice integrates this academic rigor with the raw energy of live performance.
I often work with returning learners and working professionals who seek to refine their technical facility. Dealing with absolute beginners or grade exam candidates requires a structured, analytical approach to fretboard navigation. Having taught countless students across my career, I understand the common hurdles musicians face.

This allows me to build a custom roadmap for your development. I focus on power chords, lead guitar, and essential tuning and maintenance.
We also dive deep into strumming patterns and ear training. My Diploma of Music ensures every technical point is backed by theory. You will find that making progress on the fretboard is quite satisfying."
