About Anthony
First sessions often begin with a focus on silence rather than sound. It might surprise you to learn that the most important part of guitar maintenance happens before you pick up the instrument. We use my Diploma of Music background to break down complex fingerpicking patterns into manageable chunks for returning learners and performance students.
My 6 years of experience allow me to spot tension in your hand before it becomes a bad habit. We will navigate reading tabs and songwriting through the lens of traditional Latin techniques. Grade exam candidates often feel overwhelmed by the technical demands of the instrument. I admit that I still find the nuances of rhythm guitar a lifelong pursuit despite having 6 years of experience. My journey from Santiago to Australia informs how I approach teaching as a guitar specialist. I have spent 13 years playing Latin guitar and singing in Spanish while building my own practice.
Holding a Diploma of Music from JMC Academy has refined my technique to support the students I guide. My teaching style is rooted in tradition while remaining flexible enough to suit various skill levels. You can expect a patient approach that values steady growth over rushed results.
