About Eric
Self-taught players often hit a plateau because they lack a structural framework for their technique. 13 years of professional experience has shown me that consistency is the primary hurdle for most guitarists. I focus on ear training, reading sheet music, and building electric technique through steady practice.
We will explore power chords and strumming patterns to develop your voice as a songwriter. Every lesson includes a dedicated practice module to keep your momentum high between our sessions. I prefer to keep my instructional style accessible and grounded in real-world application.

Growing up in a home where bolero, flamenco, and chacarera filled the air shaped how I understand music today. Honestly, I find that formal training and raw cultural intuition should coexist in every player. Having earned a Diploma of Music from JMC Academy, I have spent 13 years navigating the industry as a session musician. These diverse traditions are not just styles to me but the core of my teaching identity.
My lessons bridge the gap between academic theory and the soulful practice of my upbringing. You might notice I tend to get excited when explaining the rhythm of a chacarera or the precision of a lead line. Being a Latin-Australian player means I view music as a conversation between different worlds.
