About Ting
Hi! I'm Ting, and I've just finished my time at secondary school and will be heading off to university this autumn. I've always enjoyed Latin as a subject and took it as one of my IB subjects, achieving a grade 7 (which is an A* in A-Level terms)! For me, both the language and literature aspect are enjoyable; I'm studying linguistics at university and analysing English literature has always been a strong suit of mine. Over the recent years, I've involved myself in coaching and mentoring programmes for various subjects (including Latin!) and sports - I hope to use this experience and my years of study in Latin to provide any needed help!

Having worked with and taught students aged 7-14 through mentoring schemes, and having specifically taught a beginner/intermediate level Latin course, I am confident in tutoring both Latin Language and Literature. My lessons will be online with flexible times, ranging from 30 minutes to 1 hour. I am open to both lessons focusing on targeting weaknesses, or general lessons aimed at improving a holistic understanding of Latin; this will be achieved with a range of methods such as working through translation/comprehension passages and essay techniques, as well as reviewing independent work.
