About Yaqza
Hi! I’m someone who genuinely loves maths—not just the answers, but the process of uncovering why things work. That curiosity is what led me to study Mathematics at university, and it’s the same passion I bring into my teaching. I first discovered how much I enjoy helping others during my year as a peer tutor. Seeing classmates go from feeling unsure to confidently solving problems made me realise that teaching is something I truly care about. I love breaking down tricky concepts in a way that finally “clicks,” and I’m patient, encouraging, and always focused on helping you feel capable, not overwhelmed. My goal is simple: to make maths feel clearer, more manageable, and maybe even enjoyable. I’m an IB Diploma 2025 graduate and current maths undergraduate in Edinburgh, offering online tutoring for high-school students, including IBDP Higher Level Maths. I also support Standard Level and lower grades. My teaching focuses on clear explanations, exam-oriented techniques, guided practice, and building strong problem-solving habits.
