About Diane
I am a licensed teacher, with an endorsement in English to Speakers of Other Languages (K-12). Currently, I teach at an elementary school. I have been a teacher for more than 10 years.
I have tutored English both in-person and online for the past 3 years. I can help your child develop reading and writing skills to enjoy reading and writing as well as to successfully meet his/her academic reading and writing goals. My colleagues say I am passionate about teaching and an amazing English teacher! My students say I am kind, cheerful, and supportive!

My approach to tutoring is as follows.
*Set learning goals with students and share the steps to achieve them.
*Identify a learning goal for each lesson and assess if the goal is met at the end of the lesson.
*Deliver the lesson explicitly and systematically according to an appropriate scope and sequence.
*facilitate the acquisition of effective strategies and learning tools
*Weekly progress monitor to assess student performance and adapt lesson plan.
*Provide constructive and immediate feedback and communicate the next learning goal with students.
* Use a variety of materials including games, videos, songs, poems, and engaging books. Learning should be fun!
The lesson addresses the language and literacy needs at any level, K to 12 grade.
