About Yordan

I am a Computer Science undergraduate at the University of Southampton and an experienced Full-stack Developer. I have a strong academic foundation with A*AAA at A-Level and possess the technical knowledge and exam technique required to help students excel.

I have been a freelance tutor since January 2023, delivering high-quality tuition to GCSE and A-Level students of varied abilities. I am passionate about teaching because I enjoy the challenge of translating complex logic into understandable concepts. I take a professional, organised approach to every lesson, observing student attainment closely to adjust learning plans and ensure consistent progress. Whether you are looking to pass your exams or master complex algorithms, I am here to guide you to success.

My legitimacy as a tutor is backed by real-world industry experience. I am a founder and a lead developer of an educational platform I built from the ground up.

About the lesson

My teaching philosophy blends academic rigour with practical, real-world application. I emphasise understanding the core logic behind coding rather than just memorising syntax. I utilise a personalised approach, observing student attainment and adjusting learning plans to suit their specific needs. My lessons often integrate practical examples using a range of programming languages and concepts.

Sessions are generally 60 minutes long, though this is flexible based on the student's requirements and the depth of the topic being covered.

I've been working as a freelance tutor for over three years and have over a thousand hours of experience.
