About Arjun
I want to teach because there is an exhilarating feeling when a student finally understands something they previously struggled with. I remember having a tutor who helped me not just learn content, but actually learn how to learn and revise effectively, and that moment when everything starts to click is something I want to help other students experience.
I especially enjoy helping students understand difficult concepts and improve their exam technique. I see a lot of students who know the content but lose marks because they do not know how to approach questions properly, and I want to help bridge that gap between a good grade and the very top grades.
Coaching students is something I genuinely enjoy, particularly seeing their confidence grow over time and helping them find the learning style that works best for them.
Outside of studying and tutoring, I enjoy swimming, going for walks, listening to music, going to the gym and cooking. I also enjoy activities like chess and origami, which I think reflect the mix of problem-solving, patience and creativity that I try to bring into my lessons.

I tutor GCSE Maths at both Foundation and Higher level, with a strong focus on past-paper analysis. I use past papers to identify weak areas, recurring mistakes and gaps in exam technique, then build targeted lessons around exactly what needs improving.
I achieved Grade 9s in GCSE Maths and Further Maths, alongside Grade 9s in Chemistry, Biology, Physics, Computing, German, French and English Language, and Grade 8s in English Literature and Geography.
Lessons can range from 15 minutes to over an hour if needed. I adapt each lesson to the student, because everyone learns differently. I use lots of worked examples, step-by-step explanations and different ways of explaining the same concept until it makes sense.
My teaching style is patient, flexible and targeted, with the aim of building confidence, improving exam performance and helping students work towards the highest GCSE grades possible.
