About Mavis
I’m a degree-qualified music teacher with several years of experience teaching students one-to-one.
I’m bubbly, patient, encouraging, and organised, and I always try to make lessons feel comfortable and approachable. I enjoy breaking down difficult musical concepts into simple steps, adapting to different learning styles, and helping students build confidence instead of feeling intimidated by theory.
I believe students learn best when lessons are structured but still interactive, supportive, and enjoyable, with plenty of opportunities to ask questions and understand the reasoning behind each concept.
