About Gillian
I am a degree qualified dietitian and nutritionist. I also hold a PGDE as a secondary chemistry teacher. I am well placed to tutor in both biology and chemistry up to A-levels, and general science up to GCSE. I am also available for first year university students studying degrees relating to human health (anatomy, physiology, biochemistry).

In one-to-one or small group tutoring, I encourage self-learning and help my students to develop critical and creative thinking skills. This assists them to retain knowledge that leads to self-actualization.
By training the students to ask questions and develop the skills to find answers and solutions through exploration, I am assisting them to develop learning skills that they will use throughout the remainder of their years of education.
I also encourage each of my students to identify their preferred learning style, and use this both to structure tuition, and to assist them to learn the most effective methods of learning for them personally.
My goal is for all my students to reach the point where they no longer need me. That is success.
