I teach online and in person both. For online lessons, I use Zoom. I provide reading material and worksheets for every lesson based on student's requirement. I believe a student only retains information when they feel most comfortable; as well as this, I attempt to create a fun learning environment and try to make the student relate to what they're learning as much as possible. When a student can relate something I teach them, to something they do in everyday life, memory recall is triggered when performing that task- enabling them to go over what they have learnt, unintentionally.

  • Can you tell us about your first experience using a computer?

The first time I used a computer was a Windows desktop computer. It was quite an amazing experience. My brother got his first computer and I used his computer. I created my first email address and used the internet for the first time. Previously I had seen a computer but never worked on it. I was fascinated by my first experience of using a computer.
  • What is the technological evolution that has marked you most and what will be, in your eyes, a turning point in this field?

There are many great technological evolutions that include the internet, Artificial intelligence and the internet of things. I think all three of these fields have changed the computing field. No one can deny the importance of the internet because of the involvement of the internet in our lives. However, I believe artificial intelligence has affected every field of science and technology. The use of AI will further increase in every field of science including computer science. AI is a real turning point that will shape every field of science and especially human-computer interaction. Controlling everything from anywhere at any time is the internet of things like light bulbs, heating, security devices etc. These days people are increasingly building smart homes that are controlled through the internet. I think in future everything will be controlled through the internet. Students are developing projects using the computer boards like Raspberry-Pi and Arduino to control hardware.
  • Explain your expertise, your interest in it and, more broadly, its importance in the computer world.

I started my professional career as a network security assistant. I worked in an organization as a network security assistant. My organization used to have software called Splunk to maintain the security of its network. Splunk uses AI pattern recognition to prevent attacks. Apart from that, over the years I have helped many students with Data Science and AI-related projects. Recently I have helped one student in her final year dissertation on human-computer interaction. I developed a neural network for image recognition for the robot that she was using. AI (machine learning, deep learning and computer vision) will revolutionize the whole world. I have developed lots of small projects using Raspberry-Pi to control hardware like robots, sensors etc.
  • Do so-called 'visionaries', such as Bill Gates, Steve Jobs and Mark Zuckerberg inspire you or do you have other role models?

Like many others, I see Bill Gates, Steve Jobs and Mark Zuckerberg as my role models. Apart from them, I think Elon Musk is another visionary personality that inspires me a lot.
  • What would you say to an uncomfortable person in front of a screen who says that "IT is too complicated"?

Some people do think that IT is complicated. I always tell them that it is complicated until we don’t use it or try to learn it. I have seen some people who say that they can’t use computers or even smartphones. This is common in older people. They didn’t learn to use computers in school or university, so they think they can’t use them or it's almost impossible for them to learn and use these devices. I always tell these people that IT is involved in our life so much that everyone has to learn it. It is difficult because we think it is difficult. As soon as we start learning or using IT, with every passing minute it becomes super easy. It's very interesting learning about IT but if someone still thinks it is complicated then he can get help from someone like me. Take the initiative of getting help from an IT expert to learn IT. I am sure you will not be disappointed and IT will not be complicated anymore. Your time and money spent in learning IT will be worth it.
  • What are your other passions, related or non-related to computers?

As we all know in IT we have to update ourselves all the time. I like learning about IT like new languages, etc. I also like learning about AI which includes different algorithms and libraries. Other than IT, I like playing sports. I play badminton, do swimming and in summer I play cricket.
  • What makes you a Superprof in IT?

I am Superprof in IT because I have explored nearly all areas of IT. I have vast experience in this field not only as a teacher but I also have experience of working in the industry. My lessons are tailored according to the requirements of the students. I pace my lesson according to the individual’s learning speed. I have experience teaching hundreds of GCSE, A-Level and university students.
