About Todd
"Do you feel like you are struggling to make progress with your violin practice routine? I work with students who value steady growth and clear goals across my 288 students taught so far.
With 7 years of experience, I emphasise music theory and sight reading as the backbone of every strong player. My work covers grade exam prep ABRSM or Trinity, left hand agility, rhythm and timing, plus orchestral playing.
I also focus on shifting positions, scales and arpeggios, and tuning by ear to build a complete musician. These years of performance have taught me that a disciplined mindset builds the best foundations. I will keep our work balanced so that your practice remains manageable and musical."

"You will find that violin lessons move through a structured sequence that keeps your hands busy and your mind engaged. I lean on my Artist Diploma in Vocal Studies to bring a unique perspective on phrasing and melodic expression to our string work. My 7 years of teaching mean I have seen nearly every common technical hurdle before. We focus on physical mechanics to ensure you can play for hours without discomfort.
I share a monthly progress report with parents to keep everyone aligned on your development. This feedback keeps our goals transparent and trackable throughout the year. You can expect a calm environment where we prioritise steady improvement over rushing through complex repertoire."
