About Clarissa
Teaching music is my ultimate passion, and I have spent over seven years helping young minds find their musical gifts. I hold an Associate of Music in Contemporary Vocal Techniques, which helped me develop highly effective training methods. My true specialty is teaching young children and early teens how to sing using creative and playful methods.
I focus heavily on developing stage presence and building strong confidence for school plays and talent shows. In my lessons, we use interactive games, physical movement, and storytelling to teach pitch, rhythm, and vocal basics. I love using familiar material like folk songs, Disney songs, and popular musicals to keep lessons engaging and age-appropriate.
I remember coaching a shy eight-year-old who wanted to audition for a school musical but was too scared to look at the audience. We used movement games to make performance feel like playtime, and they successfully landed a lead role. My approach builds strong listening skills, deep confidence, and pure joy in music making. Learning to sing can be incredibly fun, safe, and exciting for young voices ready to shine on stage.

My lessons focus on discovering and enhancing your unique vocal timbre so you can sing with complete freedom. We work closely on essential techniques like vocal resonance, projection, and tone shaping to help you understand how your instrument works. I teach students how to master different vocal qualities like belting, head voice, and mixed voice smoothly.
I work a lot with dedicated singers who want to build a career and older students who are starting to learn later in life. For example, I recently helped a middle-aged student who had never sung before learn how to transition from their chest voice into a smooth mixed voice without cracking. We broke down the mechanics into simple steps until they could sing their favorite songs comfortably.
I offer tailored guidance to ensure your specific voice sounds its absolute best in every single session. We will practice specific exercises that expand your range and give you total control over your volume. My goal is to support you at every turn so you can excel and feel proud of your progress. Together, we will unlock your full vocal potential and build lasting confidence.
