Hello! My name is Kara, and I am a Pennsylvania-certified Reading Specialist and Literacy Leader with 27 years of experience teaching elementary students. I’m a certified Pennsylvania Reading Specialist and veteran elementary teacher with 27 years of classroom experience. I use evidence-based literacy instruction grounded in the Science of Reading to help students become confident, successful readers. I specialize in phonics, fluency, reading comprehension, and early literacy, and I tailor each lesson to meet the individual needs of every student. My goal is to help children build both strong reading skills and confidence that lasts beyond our tutoring sessions.
