About Lyra
I am an enthusiastic piano tutor with more than 11+ years of experience teaching students from school, college, and professional backgrounds. I strongly believe that learning piano is a journey that combines technical mastery, creativity, and personal expression.
My teaching methodology emphasises patience, clear communication, and adaptability to each student’s learning style and goals. I provide lessons that develop strong fundamentals such as finger technique, hand coordination, rhythm, and sight-reading, while gradually introducing advanced techniques.
Alongside piano, I teach music theory, ear training, and rhythm exercises to build complete musical understanding. Lessons are interactive, engaging, and often include song practice, improvisation, and performance opportunities. I focus on helping students overcome challenges, develop confidence, and maintain consistent practice habits.
My ultimate aim is to create a positive, motivating, and supportive learning environment where students can enjoy music and reach their full potential.

Creativity is emphasised in every session. Students are encouraged to improvise, compose their own pieces, and explore different musical genres. Flexibility is a key aspect of my approach—I adapt exercises, lesson plans, and teaching methods according to each student’s pace and preferences, ensuring that learning is always engaging and effective.
Alongside piano, I teach related subjects like music theory, sight-reading, rhythm, and ear training. This integrated approach strengthens students’ technical skills while fostering a deeper understanding of music. My aim is to cultivate not only skilled pianists but also confident, creative, and expressive musicians who can enjoy and appreciate music for life.
