About Nia
My interest in guitar began when I discovered how a few chords could create beautiful and expressive music. This passion led me to pursue a Bachelor’s Degree in Guitar Performance, where I studied technique, music theory, and performance skills. During my 9 years of teaching, I have helped many students develop their guitar abilities and musical confidence.
I believe learning music should feel encouraging and motivating. My teaching style focuses on clear explanation, patient guidance, and steady progress. Every student learns differently, so I adapt lessons to match their pace and personal interests. Some learners enjoy playing popular songs, while others focus on improving technical skills.
Outside teaching, I continue practicing guitar and exploring new musical styles. These experiences allow me to bring fresh inspiration into my lessons. Teaching guitar is rewarding because I see students gradually become confident musicians who enjoy expressing themselves through music.

My guitar lessons are designed to help students learn the instrument step by step while enjoying the process of making music. Beginners begin with understanding how to hold the guitar comfortably and how to place their fingers correctly on the strings. We practice simple chords and easy rhythm patterns so students can quickly start playing small song sections. These early exercises help learners build finger strength, coordination, and confidence with the instrument.
As students continue improving, lessons introduce chord progressions, strumming variations, and fingerstyle techniques. These skills help learners understand how songs are structured and how rhythm supports melody. Students also practice smooth chord transitions so their playing becomes more natural and steady. Practice guidance is provided to help learners improve gradually between lessons.
My goal is to make guitar learning enjoyable while building solid musical skills. Lessons encourage creativity and musical curiosity. Over time students gain the ability to play songs confidently and develop their own musical style. Guitar becomes both a creative outlet and a rewarding lifelong skill.
