About Sam
I’m Sam, 31, an English Language and Literature tutor with over 7 years of experience. I’m passionate about writing, literature, and helping students succeed. I love guiding learners to discover their own voice, develop confidence in their skills, enjoy the process of learning and be able to pass their exams.
I have a first class degree in Journalism as well as achieving top grades through English a-level experience. In this I became proficient with a range of different exam boards and question techniques, where I am able to help my students deliver the exams results they want.

Techniques and teaching methodology: I take an engaging, personable and conversational approach to tutoring. My lessons are interactive, encouraging students to ask questions, think critically, and express themselves confidently. I combine practical exercises with discussion, analysis, and creative exploration, covering writing, poetry, essay structure, and literature. Lessons are tailored to each student’s exam results goals and where they want to be when it comes to exam time.
