About Makenzie
I bring over five years of professional teaching experience to my tutoring sessions. Highlights of my experience include • 200+ hours of independent classroom teaching and an Associates Degree in Arts and Sciences• Teaching across a variety of educational settings as part of my academic training, where I adapted quickly to diverse classrooms. • Teaching in after-school tutoring programs, where I helped students achieve academic success in focused, small group or independent settings. As well as regularly tutoring students- both in person and online- across a range of subjects. I also have specialized experience working with students with special needs, including those with intellectual, learning, and developmental disabilities, as well as physical disabilities and behavioral disorders. This has equipped me with the skills to address unique challenges, build strong connections, and foster meaningful academic growth.
