I specialize in guiding students through the intricacies of grammar, syntax, vocabulary, and literature. I am student oriented; I place an emphasis on one-to-one learning, yet however, I am also familiar and comfortable with group instruction.
I believe in maintaining a pedagogy of traditional English education. My students practice consistent and daily writing techniques that aim to target areas of grammatical weakness; daily reading practice - including comprehension, inquiry-based learning, and consistent vocabulary/spelling practice - is also foundational.
My lessons are typically curtailed to middle grade and secondary students; I work with students who have the basics, yet may be in need of improvement or intervention.
