About Wickus
I was diagnosed with ADD at a young age, and unfortunately, many of my teachers did not give me the opportunities and support that I needed to thrive. I experienced discrimination that made learning more difficult, and I carried those challenges with me until I moved from public school after Grade 4 to private schools for the rest of my schooling years. These experiences shaped my passion for teaching because I understand how important it is for learners to feel supported, encouraged, and given the attention they deserve. Today, as a Bachelor of Education (Intermediate Phase) student at Pallavi University College, I am committed to creating opportunities for children and helping them reach their full potential. My lessons are designed to provide one-on-one support, giving each learner unique attention tailored to their needs. I focus on building strong foundations in English, covering the basics of grammar, spelling, and sentence construction, while also guiding learners to develop writing skills that will help them express themselves with clarity and confidence. For those who enjoy creativity, I incorporate poetry and literature studies, making them fun and accessible by exploring themes, imagery, and the beauty of language. Every lesson is interactive and learner-centered, using reading, writing, and discussion to create a dynamic and supportive space. Whether a learner needs academic support, exam preparation, or simply confidence-building, I am committed to giving them the same opportunities I once needed.
