I believe every student can succeed in math with the right guidance and approach. My goal is not just to help students solve problems but to help them understand the concepts behind them so they can approach new questions with confidence. I know that everyone learns differently, so I adapt my teaching style to each student's pace, strengths, and goals.
My lessons begin by identifying the topics a student finds most challenging. From there, I explain concepts in a simple, step-by-step manner before working through examples together. Once the student feels comfortable, I encourage them to solve problems independently while I provide guidance and feedback. I also share study strategies, problem-solving techniques, and ways to avoid common mistakes so students can continue improving outside of our sessions.
A typical lesson includes a brief review of previous material, an explanation of new concepts, guided practice, independent problem-solving, and a recap of the key ideas covered. If a student has homework, quizzes, or upcoming exams, we can also focus our sessions on preparing for those specific topics.
What sets me apart is my combination of real-world analytical experience and a patient teaching style. As a Data Science student at Rutgers University, I use mathematics every day in areas such as statistics, programming, and data analysis. I've learned that understanding why a method works is just as important as knowing how to solve a problem, and I strive to help my students develop that same confidence.
My lessons are designed for middle school, high school, and introductory college students studying mathematics, including pre-algebra, Algebra I and II, geometry, precalculus, introductory calculus, and related subjects. Whether you're looking to improve your grades, prepare for an exam, strengthen your fundamentals, or simply gain confidence in math, I'll tailor each lesson to help you reach your goals.
