About Isabel
I graduated from university in 2021 with a degree in Film Production. After graduating, I spent some time unsure of what the right path in life was for me.
I settled on teaching when I realised how much I enjoyed helping and teaching others. I found that supporting someone to understand something new and grow in confidence was incredibly rewarding, which led me to education.
Originally, I planned to travel and teach English abroad, so I completed my TEFL Level 5 diploma. In 2023 I worked in various residential schools in the UK for foreign exchange children, then in 2024 I took on a role as an LSA within a secondary school.
Since then I have worked closely with students across key stage three and four, supporting a range of abilities and learning needs, including neurodivergent students. Through this experience, I have developed a strong understanding of the GCSE curriculum and gained valuable classroom experience supporting students with English Literature and Language.
That experience has ultimately led me to pursue teaching professionally, and I will be beginning my English teacher training in September 2026 with the goal of becoming a qualified secondary English teacher.

I offer up to one and a half hour English lessons for Key Stage 3 and GCSE students, with a strong focus on building confidence and making learning accessible for every learner.
I have two years of experience working in a secondary school as a Learning Support Assistant, supporting students closely with the AQA GCSE curriculum, including students with neurodivergencies and additional learning needs.
I believe English can be challenging for many people. That being said it is a core subject in the UK curriculum, so everyone deserves the opportunity to have it taught in a way that works for them.
My teaching style is patient, encouraging and adaptable. I break down complex ideas into manageable concepts. I use clear explanations and tailor lessons to suit individual learning needs. I aim to create a supportive learning environment where all students feel comfortable asking questions, developing skills and gaining confidence in English Literature, Language, reading and spelling comprehension, essay writing, and exam preparation.
