About Sarayu
I'm an Economics with Data Science student, which means I use maths — statistics, calculus, modelling — every day in my own studies, not just in theory. I've been tutoring for over 5 years, working with students through Achievers Academy and MyTutor, as well as supporting students with additional learning needs (SEND) and mentoring younger students. Outside of academics, I'm also a coxswain for my university rowing team, which has taught me a lot about staying calm under pressure and communicating clearly — skills that carry over well into tutoring.
I know how stressful GCSEs and A-levels can feel, especially with everything else going on. My aim is to make lessons feel supportive and structured, not stressful, so you leave each session a bit more confident than when you started.

I focus on building real understanding, not memorisation — starting each lesson by identifying gaps, then working through problems step-by-step until the method genuinely clicks rather than just getting the right final answer. Students do the working, out loud; if you can explain your steps back to me, you've learned it.
Lessons run 60 minutes, with shorter revision-focused sessions available around exam periods.
I've tutored for 5+ years (including with Achievers Academy and MyTutor), and I'm currently studying Economics with Data Science at university, where maths is a daily tool rather than an abstract subject — which helps me show students where these methods actually get used. I also have experience supporting students with SEND, adapting pace and explanations to suit how each student learns.
Lessons are for GCSE and A-level Maths students, whether building foundations, aiming for top grades, or catching up.
