About Anne
I have worked in both academic and corporate spaces for over fifteen years, including but not limited to, teaching English as a second language, teaching both French and Russian, and teaching analyst skill sets to security officers. I am punctual, prepared, and diligent, as past students can attest. Most importantly, I am devoted to making sure that my students learn--and if they are struggling, I try to find where the blockages/learning difficulties are and, then, I find workarounds. I believe that anyone can learn!

My lessons--designed for students of all levels--use the John Rassias method; I combine actual instruction of grammar and vocabulary with "drill" sessions utilizing rote repetition to get the brain familiar with conjugations and cases. For example, a one hour beginner lesson would incorporate 30 minutes of learning the most basic verb "to be," and going through all the present tense conjugations. The second 30 minutes would incorporate repeating those conjugations--in various orders--so that the student develops muscle memory for each conjugation.
As a tutor, I have always believed that it is possible for every student to learn a language...they just need to have the right inspiration and mindset--which I try my best to give them!
