About Gioia
I come from Tuscany (province of Florence), from a family of teacher women: since I was a child in my house there were students of Italian, especially foreign children. The passion for languages shaped my steps. After a year and a half in England (Weymouth College), five years in Spain (working in the tourism sector and obtaining the DELE C2) I decided to formally study at the University of Bologna, in the Forlí athenaeum - the most outstanding for the course of TRANSLATION AND INTERPRETATION in Italy. The Overseas project gave me the possibility of deepening the Portuguese language in Brazil, at the UFMG in Belo Horizonte, where I thoroughly researched the translation of poems, music, subtitles and other forms of popular cultures. Together with my large experience in working as a tourist guide in Italy, and especially after my career (2014), I have also dedicated to teaching Italian for curious, students, opera singers, children and immigrants. It will be a pleasure to help you improve or learn from the basis this wonderful language that is Italian!

After a first talk, we will establish together the type of methodology and a personalized plan. The goal is to learn in a relaxed and pleasant atmosphere. For those who want to learn or improve their Italian, the learning process will focus on the 5 main parts: listening and reading comprehension, written and oral expression, grammar, and we will use practical cases to facilitate comprehension. If, on the other hand, the objective is to take an exam, everything will focus more on the certificate you want to achieve, with exercises on the content of the exam, simulation and grammar - like a real language academy.
