About Andrej

Hi, I’m Andrej. I’m currently working as a Junior Security Operations Engineer, and I come from a Computer Science and Informatics background.

Over the past year, I’ve had the chance to work around real security operations, alerts, investigations, and the kinds of tools and thinking that are common in defensive security. One thing I’ve noticed is that cybersecurity can feel very confusing when you’re just starting, especially because there’s so much content online and a lot of it is either too broad, too advanced, or just unrealistic.

That’s one of the reasons I like teaching this area. I enjoy helping people build a clearer picture of what cybersecurity actually looks like, what the different directions are, and how to start learning in a way that makes sense.

About the lesson

These lessons are for beginners who want a more practical and realistic introduction to cybersecurity.

A lot of people are interested in security, but they’re not sure where to begin or what the field actually looks like beyond buzzwords. My goal is to help make that much clearer. We can go through core concepts, beginner security tools, logs, alerts, basic SOC thinking, and the kinds of foundations that are useful no matter which direction in cybersecurity you eventually become interested in.

I also think it’s important for beginners to understand that cybersecurity is a broad field, and not everyone needs to go in the same direction. If you’re not sure where to start, I can help you understand the different areas of cybersecurity, what skills they usually require, and which foundations are worth focusing on first.

I try to explain things in a grounded and understandable way, without unnecessary hype, so that you leave lessons with a much better sense of both the concepts and the bigger picture.
