About Joel
My name is Joel, and I’m someone who genuinely enjoys helping people understand cybersecurity in a simple, comfortable and encouraging way. I’ve always believed that anyone can learn tech when it’s explained clearly, and that belief is what motivates me to teach. With a background that includes a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science and a Master’s in Applied Cybersecurity, I’ve spent years studying how technology works and how to break it down into easy, practical steps. I want to teach because I know what it feels like to start from scratch and feel overwhelmed by technical terms and complicated tools. My goal is to make that journey easier for you. I love seeing students gain confidence, especially when a topic that once felt confusing suddenly starts to make sense. That moment of clarity is what drives me. A typical lesson is around 1 hour, but I’m flexible if you need a bit more time to fully understand a topic—we go at your pace, never rushed.
