Juan has been a tremendous help in advancing my Spanish! I already had a good baseline going into our lessons, and I was looking for a fluent speaker with whom I could meet weekly to practice having conversations in Spanish. Juan has been exactly what I was looking for and more.

While a big part of our lessons is speaking and having conversations in Spanish, Juan also provides lessons on verb conjugation, mini “quizzes,” and flashcards to help reinforce what I’m learning. He tailors each lesson to how I want to spend our time, which I really appreciate. He is extremely patient when I’m working through a sentence and is great at correcting my mistakes, which is something I specifically asked him to do.

Our first lesson was an evaluation of my Spanish level, and since then, we have met weekly to discuss a variety of topics entirely in Spanish. Juan is extremely knowledgeable and often shares interesting facts about Spanish-speaking countries, cultures, and even the origins of certain words.

Most importantly, Juan has helped improve my confidence and made me feel much more comfortable trying to use Spanish in my everyday life. I highly recommend him to anyone looking to improve their Spanish, and he is very flexible!
