About Clara

I am currently in university studying sociology. I did A level maths, law, criminology and sociology. I achieved an 8 or A*+ in my maths GCSE in 2020. As well as tutoring my younger brother who is currently in year 10 and other family friends in varying levels of skill level. I also ran a tutoring group for Yr 7, 8 & 9 whilst I was in year 11. As well as a peer tutoring group for sociology A-level.

About the lesson

I know maths isn't easy for everyone, but I have learnt different methods over the years and will try and find one that suits your needs and will help make you feel confident in your maths abilities. In high school I tutored KS3 children (years 7, 8 & 9) with their maths and they all achieved better marks in their end of year tests. My typical lesson length is 45 minutes as I find shorter lessons allow for a more focused period of time. I also believe that learning can be fun and children will remember what they enjoy. And I will always make sure that with my help the student can reach the goal they want whether that be short term or long term.
