About Milena
I am a second year UCL Law student with a passion for English and helping students feel more confident in their abilities.
Having watched many students struggle at GCSE English, I want to teach because I know how much the right support can change a student’s confidence and performance. I understand both the pressure of exams and the techniques needed to succeed in them. My goal is not only to help students achieve strong grades, but also to make English feel far less stressful and much more manageable.

My approach to tutoring is friendly, relatable, and personalised to each student’s learning style and current level.
I keep the exam at the core of my approach, building skills not just knowledge.
For English Literature, I can support students with Shakespeare, the poetry anthology, and other set texts through close analysis, essay planning, and revision strategies.
For English Language, I focus heavily on the exam techniques, structure, and timed practice methods that helped me achieve top grades myself, including guided exam questions and detailed marking/feedback.
Lessons are typically 1 hour long and held online. I have a very flexible schedule.
I achieved an A in A-Level English Literature, full marks in my A-Level coursework, and Grade 9s in both GCSE English Literature and English Language, alongside nine Grade 9s overall at GCSE.
I also have experience running small classes for students during sixth form. My lessons are aimed at GCSE students in Years 9, 10, and 11.
