About Edward
Hi my name is Edward Diaz-Farron. I'm a 20-year-old university student at Victoria University of Wellington, currently studying International Relations and Political Science. I am looking to pursue a career in the diplomatic field after I graduate. I have extensive experience in tutoring, both in Spain and Australia, as well as in youth counseling through Camp America with CCUSA in 2024. Through these roles, I’ve worked with students ranging from primary to high school age. As a member of Gen Z, I bring a fresh perspective to education and to being an educator. This allows me to build stronger relatability with students, creating a more engaging and understanding learning environment.

I like to draw on my background in Trinity College London drama classes and incorporate introductory drama games into the sessions. This approach allows students not only to express their understanding of what they've learned in a creative and unorthodox environment, but also to expand upon any areas they may be struggling with. Classes typically run for an hour to an hour and a half. I am able to accommodate between one and four students per session. I teach a range of students, from primary to high school age. In addition to private tutoring, I have experience teaching ESOL. I have worked with primary-aged students at Chiclana Kids Club in Chiclana, Spain, and with high school-aged Japanese exchange students through Additour on the Gold Coast, Australia. I'm also great at counseling as I was a Camp Counselor at Camp Pinewood, North Carolina in 2024.
