About Abigail
I have been playing piano for more than a decade now and have also undergone professional vocal training.I have been working at a grade 8 in both and have also been teaching for 7 years.
Besides music, I am currently studying medicine at the university of Bristol and aim to graduate in 2027.
I not only have a great passion for music but also in encouraging and nurturing the interest in budding musicians. I have always enjoyed working with children and coming up with fun and exciting ways to get them engaged and interested in music.

Starting music with no prior knowledge can seem intimidating! But when lessons are taught in a fun and engaging way, you’ll get the basics down in no time !
I enjoy teaching music from a basic level so that a strong foundation in music can be established. I especially like teaching children/kids, and motivating them to achieve their goals in music. I try to gage their abilities during the first couple lessons and alter my teaching strategies from then on. An example of a basic lesson for a child aged 6 would be first teaching them what musical beats are. I’d do this by either asking them to move/dance on time to the music (if they are perticular active) or by asking them to simply clap on time. This will gradually be built up to using metronomes and sight reading the music while they play.
As you can probably tell, this isn’t a conventional method of teaching music, but a more interactive and enjoyable way. Music is Fun ! And it’s important to nurture the interest in a caring and supportive way.
