About Sophia-grace

Hi, I’m Sophia, a friendly and approachable Maths tutor with a genuine passion for helping students build confidence and understanding. I am currently studying A-level Maths, Physics and Economics, which means I have a strong grasp of GCSE content and how it links to more advanced topics. I’m patient, organised, and good at explaining concepts clearly, especially for students who feel overwhelmed or lack confidence in Maths. Having recently completed my GCSEs myself, I understand the pressures students face and focus on creating a calm, supportive learning environment where they feel comfortable asking questions and making steady progress.

About the lesson

My GCSE Maths lessons are structured, supportive, and tailored to each student’s needs. I focus on building strong foundations first, making sure students genuinely understand the core concepts rather than just memorising methods. Lessons are clear and step-by-step, with plenty of exam-style practice and worked examples to build confidence. I break down tricky topics like algebra, graphs, and problem-solving into manageable parts, and I adapt my teaching style to suit how each student learns best. My aim is not only to improve grades, but to help students feel calmer, more confident, and in control of Maths going into their exams.

She offers parent feedback forms which I love to see my daughters progress and also sets homework regularly. Her price is good, her tutoring is excellent and overall she’s such a lovely person to work with. I’d recommend her over tutors I’ve paid £60 for and that’s telling somthing.
