I am Alexandra and I am passionate about inspiring others to share my love of literature. I have been tutoring for three years teaching GCSE English literature and language. My love for tutoring blossomed from such inspiring tutors I had when I was too studying for exams.

Throughout my three years of tutoring, my approach has been to help people learn how to learn through a variety of techniques as it is different for everyone. I think that structure is the most important part of the revision process and it is vital for students to feel supported through study plans and schedules. Although I look to prompt and encourage the student to find answers, I think that it is equally important for the tutor to provide solutions and relevant material to learn and memorise. When I was studying for exams, I found it really useful to talk through key arguments with a tutor as it pushed me to develop my ideas to a more complex level. Therefore, I regularly present students with written text or a work of art to encourage them to talk through analysis and their initial ideas.
