About Sumaya

Hi! My name is Sumaya and I’m currently studying for a 3-year BSc in Genetics, which has deepened my passion for Biology and understanding the fascinating complexities of life. I’m really excited to be your tutor and help you navigate your studies in Biology and Psychology. I want to teach because I enjoy sharing knowledge and seeing students grow in confidence as they tackle challenges and achieve their goals. My aim is to create a supportive learning environment where you feel comfortable asking questions and exploring ideas. Together, we’ll work on mastering key concepts, improving exam techniques, and discovering just how interesting these subjects can be. Let’s work towards your success!

About the lesson

As a tutor for A-level and GCSE Biology and A-level Psychology, I would focus on delivering clear and engaging lessons tailored to each student’s needs. I would help students understand key concepts, use real-life examples, and develop critical thinking skills. For Biology, I’d emphasise mastering practicals, linking topics, and applying knowledge to exam-style questions. In Psychology, I’d focus on analysing theories, research methods, and case studies. I’d also use exam board mark schemes to teach students how to structure their answers and incorporate subject-specific terminology, helping them maximise marks and build confidence. My goal would be to create a positive and supportive learning environment that encourages academic success.
