I am currently studying for a BA in English at the University of Exeter and am entering my second year, having achieved a 1:1 in my first year. My long-term goal is to become a Secondary School English Teacher, so I am passionate about helping students develop both their academic skills and their confidence. I received a 9 in English GCSE and an A at A Level.
I believe strong communication with both students and parents is essential to supporting progress, and I strive to create lessons that are interactive, motivating, and focused on helping every student reach their full potential.

Through my own education, I studied GCSEs and A Levels at Grammar School, giving me a strong understanding of exam expectations and effective revision strategies. I am most experienced in teaching students aged 6 to 15, with a particular focus on Primary, 11+, and GCSE learners. I am especially confident supporting English Language and English Literature, while also helping younger students develop their literacy, reading comprehension, and writing skills.
My teaching philosophy is centred on creating a supportive, engaging, and encouraging learning environment where every student feels confident to ask questions and make mistakes. I believe that every learner is different, so I adapt my teaching style and lesson plans to suit each student's individual needs, strengths, and learning preferences.
