I think a more personalized approach is always necessary. I have found that when teaching my students, not every single student learns in the same manner, whether it be visual, interactive, slow /fast-paced, etc. In large group scenarios, I would usually ask the students on the first day how they find it easiest to learn and try and incorporate the various formats into each lesson. However, in private tutoring, this is even easier to do as the entire lesson can be focused on the needs of the person. I would primarily do lessons for Junior Certificate and Leaving Certificate students with each lesson lasting roughly an hour, however, I can assist at all levels including University level, whether it is for beginners or for individuals who just want to freshen up their abilities.
