About Adina
I am a 29-year-old English and Journalism teacher who loves teaching students. I was born in Romania, and English is my 2nd language. I got my undergraduate degree in Secondary Education with a focus on English Language Arts from Concordia University-Portland in 2020 and my master's degree in Curriculum and Instruction from Western Governor's University in 2022.

I use contemporary literature and examples, such as songs and modern stories, to teach complex skills. A typical lesson plan begins with a warm-up that gets the student thinking about the topic that we are about to cover, then moves into an example/explanation of the skill, then a guided practice, and finally a self-completed practice which will allow the student to practice on their own followed by feedback from me.
