About Maham
Growing up, I had a hard time adjusting to some teaching methods and I often lost determination and belief within myself. However despite this, my teachers had one-to-one's with me in regards to where I needed most help and from this I learnt that all students should be given a chance, in a comfortable space, to voice their concerns about what they find most difficult. I was always encouraged to persevere and once I found the teaching method that was best suited to me, I saw myself flourish, in particular in the subjects I found to be most challenging. Just as my teachers were, I want to aim to create a safe and fun environment for my students as learning should not be something which is considered burdensome and overly difficult, but instead it should be perceived as something which is exciting yet challenging in a positive manner. I believe that knowledge is the key to success and thus, being an inspiring teacher, I would love to help other students go above and beyond in their studies. Learning is not linear but progressive and all that matters is that one has the determination and willpower to persevere despite the hurdles within life.

I will work one to one with students, identifying where their strengths and weaknesses are and then move on from there. I believe that every student should have the freedom to voice their concerns about where they need help and by doing so I will be able to ensure that I help them improve in those particular fields alongside others. Having achieved the grades ABB and now studying at a University in London, I believe I will be able to help students in English and help secure good grades and achieve their goals. My lessons are targeted at Key Stage 1-4 students.
