About Orla

Hello,
I am a current student studying psychology at the University of Warwick in my first year. I have just completed my A-Levels. I'm an easy-going person with a relaxed teaching style. I will always listen to your ideas and incorporate what you'd like to do in our lessons. I'd like to tutor psychology because I believe it offers students a unique lens through which students can view themselves and the world.

About the lesson

I'd start my lessons with a brief overview of what the pupil would like to cover, I'd go over these elements as well as picking topics at random to cover as well. I'd do a range of things with the pupil like getting them to complete exam questions timed or not timed, going over content with them, going over basic exam skills. I would always make sure to incorporate what they'd like to do in my lesson. I'd go over past papers with them as well. Typical length of a lesson would be around 50 minutes to an hour and a half, starting at around 6pm in the evenings of weekdays. I have previously tutored some students, most notably a girl in my year for A-Levels and helped improve her grades by giving her a good work ethic and skills to utilise in the exam. These lessons would be for A-Level students in both Year 12 and 13. I would be tutoring for the AQA A-Level psychology exam board. My credentials are that I have received an A* in A-Level psychology.
