About Ela

I'm currently a student at university and will never forget how stressful and overwhelming education at secondary school and college could be! Throughout those years, I was able to find techniques and styles of writing that ensured I showcase a depth of knowledge as well as critical essay skills to examiners. One of my reasons for wanting to tutor is to share this with other students and tailor it to their level of education. With this, your grades will flourish and learning will become rewarding and exciting. In my free time, I love rollerskating, spending time in nature hiking, and also cooking! I'm also bilingual- fluent in both English and Polish and cannot wait to learn more languages in the future.

About the lesson

My lessons are for those in secondary school education, preparing for GCSE and A Level exams, as well as those seeking to further their essay writing skills and knowledge for first year at university. A typical session lasts 1 hour. My teaching focuses on the learning style of the student, ensuring the sessions are tailored to their needs and embrace their style of learning. I use various scientifically proven active recall methods to help students learn content and explain concepts thoroughly with the use of examples. Once topic knowledge is sufficient, I introduce a critical and evaluative essay writing style and tips which achieve high grades. I have past experience in tutoring younger children, particularly in English Language and Literature, as well as grammar, spelling, punctuation and reading comprehension. My qualifications include a Grade 9 in GCSE Religious Studies, an A* in A Level Religious Studies and a record of first class results at university. I am currently awaiting publication of an article for a Christian magazine.
