About Leah
I am currently a second year student at SUNY New Paltz studying adolescent education. I have taken classes that have prepared me to work in diverse classrooms and with diverse material. I also have taken classes that have taught me to approach teaching in a new way to keep students engaged, and help them enjoy and want to learn. I have experience in teaching, not English, but giving lessons in sports so I do have experience in lesson planning and how to approach skills that need to be worked on. I also love English and am currently working on a book!

I like to keep lessons fun but also beneficial. I like to try different activities and do the work with you so you don’t feel like you’re doing it all! I like communication and talking while working through lessons, and I also like talking about mindset when approaching work or difficult tasks. I try to keep learning fun and help students realize that learning is NOT dreadful!
