About Rohan

Hey, I’m someone who knows firsthand how powerful good tutoring can be. When I was preparing for my GCSEs, I had a maths tutor who made a huge difference - not just in helping me understand the material, but in building my confidence and showing me that I was capable of more than I thought. That experience stayed with me, and it’s a big part of why I now want to help others in the same way. I’ve always enjoyed breaking down tricky concepts and finding ways to make things click for different people. Tutoring gives me the chance to do that. I believe in leaving no stone unturned - whether it’s revisiting the basics or drilling into the finer details of exam technique. My goal is to make sure each student feels fully equipped to tackle whatever challenges they face, and to help them discover that success is achievable with the right support and mindset.

About the lesson

I'd say my tutoring style is focused on building deep understanding and long-term confidence in both Maths and Physics. I aim to specifically tailor each lesson to the student’s individual needs, whether that means reviewing core concepts, tackling challenging exam questions, filling in gaps from school lessons, or honing in particular topics. I like to create a relaxed, supportive environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and learning from mistakes, I strongly believe that's the best atmosphere for learning. In a typical lesson (usually 60 minutes but can often differ depending on each individual's needs), we start with a quick review of previous material to reinforce retention. Then, we dive into the day’s topic using a mix of worked examples, guided problem-solving, and interactive discussion. I also place a strong emphasis on exam technique and independent thinking, all in alignment with the given subject's typical mark scheme structure and curriculum, which is especially important for GCSE and A-Level success. As of right now, I only have experience tutoring family friends as well as a tutoring programme in my Secondary School I took part in in Sixth Form, in which I tutored students for GCSEs. My lessons are suitable for students aged 14–18 preparing for GCSEs and A-Levels, including those aiming for top grades or needing help to catch up. Whether you’re looking for regular support or one-off revision sessions, I’ll adapt my approach to fit your goals.
