About Nicole

Hi, I'm Nicole and I'm currently studying for a Bachelor of Commerce and Bachelor of Laws degree at the University of Sydney. I also struggled with understanding some of the topics when I studied for my IB exams and had to rely on some wonderful tutors who helped me through the process. I would like to pass on everything I've learned to students who are currently going through this process too!

About the lesson

My lessons are for students who are taking the IB curriculum, specifically those who are taking Biology SL, English Lang Lit, and History (focusing on Authoritarian States, Cold War, China and Japan).

Each lesson will be 1 hour. I completed by IB exams in 2024 and scored 43 points out of 45. I scored a 7 in IB Biology SL and IB English Language and Literature HL, and 6 in IB History HL. I'm currently studying for a Bachelor of Commerce and Bachelor of Laws at the University of Sydney.

For IB English paper 1, I typically go through important skills for the exam and for paper 2, I will work through practice questions with the students to help guide them through their thinking process and identify gaps in their analysis.

For IB Biology, I will go through each topic to solidify your contextual understanding and provide some past paper questions for you to work through in the lesson so any queries can be answered immediately.

For IB History, I will go through the topics, examining each through social, economic, political, military, cultural and religious lenses as well as highlighting the causes and consequences of each event. I will also work through past paper questions with students and provide in class feedback.

For all three subjects, students may also contact be outside of class for any additional questions. They may also let me know in advance what topics/areas they would like to cover in the next lesson.
