About Jordan
I have spent the last 21 years of my life in school and have pursued a wide range of interests in that time. Because I am still a student, I have a profound understanding of how difficult certain subjects can be to grasp. However, I also have experience and have tried many methods of studying and learning. My student will benefit from the fact that I have put these study methods to the test, and can help him/her learn in a productive and engaging way.
I truly love learning and school, and I hope to share with my students the excitement that I feel when I grasp a concept that I have struggled with.

I like to assess what the student knows up to this point and form a lesson plan based on the individual child's needs. It is essential to praise and acknowledge what the student already knows and use that to further the student's understanding of more difficult material. Depending on the material, I will then use various resources, including discussion, repetition, diagramming, quizzing, and more to teach the material to the child further. I think it is important to understand that all children learn differently, and I take that into account with my tutoring.
I have undergraduate experience in the STEM field and am currently pursuing a law degree, so I have been immersed in various teaching methods for many years now. This allows me to work with the student to form a lesson plan that is both functional and productive.
Depending on the subject material, lesson plans will vary.
