About Nathan

I graduated form Purdue University in 2023 with a BS in Chemistry. While attending Purdue, I researched with Dr. Philip Low to synthesize PET scan imaging agents for myocarditis and gliomas. I was able to help author and publish a manuscript for the myocarditis project and an article for the glioma project.

Although I am originally from Indiana, I chose to decline acceptance to IU to pursue my medical degree at LECOM-Bradenton due to my medical philosophy more closely aligning with the DO degree rather than MD (I would be more than happy to answer any questions about the differences between these two pathways - there are very few differences, but there are pros and cons to each).

During my time at Purdue, I received my EMT-B certificate at Ivy Tech Community college and worked for 2 years as an ED tech in the ER.

In my free time, I enjoy carpentry, remodeling homes, playing CS with friends, and sewing suits and dresses.

About the lesson

During my lessons, I like to work with students to asses where their difficulty with learning anatomy stems from such as trouble with memorization or critical thinking. I provide clear explanations of concepts and pathways, but I also like to ask second and third order questions to help consolidate the information presented during each lesson. Additionally, I made +3,000 flashcards during my anatomy course that not only helped me get an A, but also helped me score in the 84 percentile for a national anatomy exam with first and second year medical student examinees. We can work through these cards together, and I can provide the cards to you and teach you how to use anki.
