About Jemima
I haven't always enjoyed science and struggled at secondary school to maintain the high grades I needed. However, in year 11 I tried extremely hard and achieved A's in all 3 of my science subjects. I understand how challenging and boring science can seem at some points, but I hope through my lessons you'll learn to love the subject as much as I do. I found that it becomes a lot more enjoyable once you fully understand the topics, so I am here to make Biology seem less daunting and easier to learn:)
Through my years of struggling to grasp biology concepts and constantly forgetting content, I was able to refine my revising technique. Using my current method, I achieve grades no lower than a 1st AND have significantly cut down my studying time. Now I am studying Neuroscience in university in hopes of going to medical school afterwards :)

I provide 50 minute online lessons where I will be primarily using the active recall revision technique. I have found this is an effective technique as it has helped significantly in my previous and current studies. This means the student will be actively engaged in all parts of the lesson, answering questions and even having a go at teaching me the topic! This will result in the student not just remembering answers, but thoroughly understanding the topic in order to apply their knowledge to answer any style of exam question.
I teach secondary school students (Years 7-11) as I have previous experience working at my local secondary school.
