About Rosh
As a medical student, one of my greatest rewards is helping learners progress from confusion to clarity. Alongside my own studies, I have gained over a year of tutoring experience within my school, supporting students of varying abilities and learning styles. During this time, I have developed a collection of high-quality resources designed to strengthen understanding and provide additional practice. My approach to tutoring is to make learning engaging and approachable. I encourage students to view challenges like puzzles—breaking complex problems down into smaller, manageable steps to make them less intimidating and more enjoyable to solve. For instance, when a student struggles with a demanding exam question, such as a 6-marker, I guide them to see it as several simpler questions combined. This not only reduces stress but also builds confidence. I prioritise establishing a strong foundation of knowledge before moving into intensive exam preparation, ensuring my students are well-prepared and self-assured when it comes to assessments.

Hi, my name is Rosh. I am passionate about Mathematics and Physics, particularly the applied and problem-solving side of both subjects. I achieved A*A*A in Maths, Physics, and Chemistry at A-level, as well as a Grade 9 in GCSE Mathematics, providing me with a strong academic foundation and excellent exam technique; the typical length of a lesson is 2 hours. My lessons are interactive and tailored to each student’s needs, and are separated into 3 phases: The learning curve, Understanding and then finally Confidence & Exam preparation. I typically begin by reviewing a topic before breaking down complex ideas into clear, step-by-step explanations. From there, we practise with exam-style questions, which I encourage students to approach like puzzles — making challenging problems less intimidating and more enjoyable to solve. I prioritise building a solid understanding before moving onto intensive exam practice, ensuring that my students are confident and fully prepared. For example, if one of my students is especially struggling in a difficult exam question such as a 6 marker, I break down the question and treat it as if it is 3-4 easy questions combined into one to make it seem less intimidating and much more straightforward, just like solving a puzzle. I also prioritise understanding before any exam practice, so that each one of my students understands what they are doing completely. Two of my students were predicted grades 4-5 in Higher GCSE Mathematics, and using this technique they came out on results day with 8’s to 9’s, one of which is going to The University of Cambridge to study Pure Mathematics. I’m also familiar with the major exam boards (AQA for Maths, Chemistry, AND Edexcel for Physics, Mathematics), and I adapt my teaching to their specific requirements. Whether you need structured lessons, targeted exam preparation, or help with tricky topics, my goal is to solidify your understanding and help you excel with confidence.
